CLUB RULES

These rules are being introduced to aid the smooth running of the club and to allow us to enjoy the facilities at the lake without causing upset or annoyance to anyone else. The lake is a public amenity and we do not have any control over who uses it

  1. 1.Only BMFA insured club members are allowed access to the lake side with their cars.

  2. 2.Parking at the lake side is for members who have their boat with them i.e. no boat, park elsewhere

  3. 3.Please make sure the entrance is locked after you, to stop non members gaining access

  4. 4.Park in two lines, one on either side of the concrete strip.

  5. 5.Do not block any pathways or steps

  6. 6.When available, use the frequency boards and scanners to help manage the frequencies at the lake side. If someone is using the same frequency as you make yourself known to that person and share the frequency.

  7. 7.Members running fast electric's need to be conscious of the possibility of their boat leaving the lake and hitting spectators, and need to pilot it to minimise this risk.

  8. 8.No internal combustion engines.

  9. 9.Steam boilers must have a current test certificate where required

Remember access to the side of the lake is a privilege, if you abuse it we all could lose it.
